Hospital Manager
Tobi
Tobi has worked with Dr. McGrath for over 10 years. She graduated from the Medical Laboratory Technology program in 1996 and completed the Veterinary Hospital Managers program at St. Lawrence College. She joined the Glanbrook Veterinary Service team in May of 2001. She is kept busy with a young family outside of the clinic. Tobi plays an important role in staff training and hiring. She is responsible for the day to day business operations of both clinics. Her role is to keep the clinic running smoothly and it is greatly appreciated.
Senior Registered Veterinary Technicians
Technicians require a minimum of two years of college and numerous hours of clinic experience to complete their degree. Their governing body requires continuing education to be completed every year to maintain their status as a RVT. Technicians are responsible for nursing care, anaesthesia, radiology, cytology, pharmacology and blood chemistry analysis. The technicians are the cornerstone of the practice. Their knowledge is a valuable asset to the client and their pets.
Chris Dickie
Chris graduated from Centralia College in April 1992. She joined the Glanbrook team in September 1999 and has been a valuable member since that time. She has over 17 years of experience in Veterinary medicine and is a wealth of knowledge for new technicians entering the field. She resides in Cayuga with her 5 dogs (all poodles) several cats, horses, and birds. In her spare time Chris enjoys training and showing her dogs as well as showing her love for the sport of soccer. Chris is currently working towards her certification for animal physical rehabilitation.
Laura Thomson
Laura started as a student at Glanbrook Veterinary Services while she was completing her technician courses. At time of graduation, she accepted a position at Glanbrook Veterinary Services. Laura brings a strong sense of compassion to her job and has quickly become a favourite friend of many pets. She is very involved in riding horses and spending time with her dog Bentlie.
Nicole Edwards
Nicole is our newest member. She has elected to do her coop placement with Glanbrook veterinary services. She will continue as a veterinary technician at Glanbrook due to a maternity leave. She is excited to get acquainted with our clients and their pets. Nicole lives in Ancaster and has had experience in veterinary clinics over the last five years.
Veterinary Assistant
Marsha Maksymchuk
Marsha graduated from college in 2003 with a Veterinary assistant certificate. She has a special interest in nutrition and behaviour training. When she is not at the clinic she can be found snowboarding or wakeboarding. She is pleased to be following her childhood dream of helping animals. Her goals are to assist animals in living a happier and healthier life.
